Rules
follow them
respect:
Please show respect to your fellow members. You may not agree with everyone about everything. In fact, it's very likely. It's okay to voice your opinion but not to force it on anyone else. If you've been offended, don't be afraid to message whoever upset you and explain POLITELY why you're upset. If you can't get along, please speak to an admin. Staff reserves the right to punish or ban members for rudeness.nsfw restricted:
All content must adhere to the proboards terms of service. Sexual content is restricted from the forum. No NSFW scenes should be roleplayed in the boards. Any threads like this will be deleted without warning.language:
Please keep the language to a reasonable limit. Some characters will likely have more vulgar language, but be respectful to how offensive this language can be. Try to keep it to a minimum.spam:
Spam is a nuisance. Please don't do it. Examples of spam include double posting on the forum, replying with smiley faces, flooding the cbox and posting random and unrelated content on threads. If an admin asks you to stop, just stop.activity:
Members must keep their characters active. This means that you must post in activity checks, and thread with your characters. If you make an account and do not post or complete an application within a month, your account will be deleted. Each character should have it's own account using the character's FULL name as the display name. OOC accounts are allowed for players who have more than one character. Please let staff know if you will be gone for an extended period of time in our absence board. literacy level:
Kingdoms is literate role play community. Members should be able to post at least one full and well-written paragraph for response, but more is always welcome! If you can't write at least 150 words in a full, detailed reply, your role play partner probably can't either. Yes, 150 words is the minimum (it's not that much).events:
Every so often the staff will post an event thread that every player must participate in with their character. If a player has more than one character, at least two must reply to the event. Events will be situations like festivals or public instances that all characters can take part in through some fashion. This will give everyone a chance to role play with the rest of the site! Each player will have to create or post in a thread centering around the event, then alert the staff that they have participated. Make sure to read event threads carefully for more detailed instructions.character limit:
Good news! No character limit! But be sure to only make as many as you can handle, and only one character can be made per account. If you're going to make multiple accounts, it may be a good idea to make and OOC account where you can post OOC threads like character lists and requests. Please label the account as OOC in some way so I will not delete it! All staff accounts will be OOC.metagaming:
Powerplaying and godmoding are strictly forbidden. I will not tolerate it. Character sheets are expressly laid out in detail to help you avoid mary sue characters, and nobody likes a powerplayer. If I catch you doing either in role play, I will give you a warning. If it continues, punishment will follow. Punishments might include taking away high positioned characters, restricting the number of characters you can make, or even a ban.death/birth:
Characters may not suddenly get pregnant. It takes two to tango, baby. Besides, seeing as this is a school-centered role play, there should be minimal children. Please PM an admin if this is ever at all an occurrence you plan on. As for death, the dying character MUST approve that their character may be killed. Admins should be alerted to any possible death events before-hand to okay them.realism:
Please keep a level of realism to your role playing. Adhere to the rules of the realm and of the races. Humans shouldn't have pointed elvish ears. People without magic cannot shapeshift and magic users cannot shapeshift without training. Etc, etc.application:
Please use our application form. Do not transform it majorly in any way other than the intended. If you need help putting in your icons, let a staff member know and we'll be happy to help you out! The rest of the code is easy enough to edit in Preview mode. If you're having issues editing the code, staff will try to help, and if you make a mistake keep in mind "control+z"(PC) or "comand+z"(Mac) should undo your mistake.[password: without hope there is no redemption]
char. activity:
All characters must be kept active. If you don't have time to play a character anymore, you should adopt them off or let a staff member know the character is inactive so we can delete the account and archive the bio.names:
Every character must have a first, middle and last name. The name should suit the setting of the game. Basically, no vampires named "sparklebottom mcguff pants". I understand that sometimes the first middle last format might vary but do try to have all three.design:
Character design should follow a basic pattern. Appearance should suit their race (ex: fei should look like a young children). Attitude traits should follow race and class traits as well. If for some reason they do not, there should be a reason within the character's history as to why they're different. In short, your characters must be well thought out and make sense.accounts:
Character accounts have a limit to one character per account! Accounts names should be formatted as "First Middle Last" or "First M. Last". If your account isn't set to this, your character application will not be accepted! Your avatar should be set to an image of your play-by as well.play-bys:
A play-by is who you choose to represent your character. Manga-style (anime) people only, please. When you choose a play-by for your character, you should post in the face claim thread so that nobody else can use that character. You can reserve play-bys in the face claim thread as well for up to two weeks.high positions:
High positions will be awarded to active members who show talent in role playing. This isn't about playing favorites. You could be the nicest person in the world, but if I don't think you're capable of filling a roll I will not give it to you. Players must have one ordinary character to have a high position character. High positions include principal, vice principal and school staff.effort:
Please put effort into your role play! It's much more fun for everyone if you try to give literate, lengthy replies and care about what you're doing. Put effort into your characters so you care about them when you role play them! This isn't about rushing responses out. It's about creating a responsive story that everyone can enjoy! player activity:
I ask that players get on at least twice a week, whether it be to just check in, or to actually post. If you're not on in that time, you may loose high positions or staff status if you hold it. If you miss an activity check, your account will be marked as inactive, and if you miss a second activity check, it will be deleted.out of character:
Out of character posts should show respect to other players. They're there for some extra bonding fun! Games and general chats are welcome, but please post them in the correct board! OOC comments in posts should be marked as OOC somehow!questions:
If you have any questions, feel free to shoot a PM to any staff member, or even give us a shout in the cbox! Even if a staff member's not on, another member might be able to answer your question.coded by DESTINY for KINGDOMS
